We begin our time together with a lovely morning circle, sharing songs, movement & reverence for the forest. This start to the day is always followed by free play in the forest, time around the campfire or an adventure walk to the pond or other special features of the land. Then we gather in the forest or meadow for snack (each family brings their own) and sing our goodbye song! Both parents are welcome, but only one parent is required to attend. Our sessions now include topics and discussion related to parenting, as a way to further support the members of our forest community.
Parent Tot Families are asked to commit to our Forest Kindergarten community, by joining us at our regularly scheduled community events throughout the school year. Please view our calendar for more information on these special events.
Please apply to our program if you're interested in joining us for the coming school year! Our Parent Tot Forest Play group is really our Forest Kindergarten "Prep" program, so we give preference to families who have the intention of enrolling their child in Wee Folk Forest K when they become of age (at age 2 1/2). The program is covered by a $400 annual commitment fee per family, which includes 10 classes and all monthly family events. The commitment fee can be paid here.
